Kenneth B. Cummins Mathematics Award

In order to be eligible for this award, the applicant must be an actuarial mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematics or an integrated mathematics major with junior standing (i.e., at least 60 semester hours earned) at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Bill and Linda Gainer Scholarship in Mathematics

The recipient must be a first-generation undergraduate college student who is at least a Sophomore, majoring in actuarial mathematics, applied mathematics, or mathematics with a 3.0 or higher GPA who is Pell Grant eligible. The application window for this scholarship is from the beginning of January to the beginning of March each year. Harshbarger Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this award, the applicant must be an actuarial mathematics, applied mathematics or mathematics major at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. The applicant must have also completed Math 12003 (Calculus II), Math 21001 (Linear Algebra), and either Math 22005 (Calculus III) or an upper-division mathematics course. Kenneth L. Whipkey Scholarship in Mathematics

The recipient of this scholarship must be an actuarial mathematics, applied mathematics, or mathematics major in junior standing at Â鶹ÊÓƵ with a minimum of GPA 3.0, and in need of financial aid. The amount of this award is variable. The application window for this scholarship is from the beginning of January to the beginning of March each year. Choose Ohio First Scholarship

Choose Ohio First Scholarships will annually provide about 20 undergraduate tuition scholarships, varying in size between $1,500 and $4,700 a year.  The scholarships are awarded to promising, incoming, STEM freshmen who intend to pursue at least a minor in mathematics. The scholarships were made possible by a grant from Ohio Board of Regents.

Pi Mu Epsilon Award

Awarded to an outstanding upper-class student in mathematics.  Amount of award is $100 and a book.  Contact the Department of Mathematical Sciences for more information.

 

High School Math Competition

Each Fall the Department of Mathematical Sciences holds a High School Math Scholarship competition.  Annual awards generally range from $500 to $1,000 and scholarships can be accumulated over the years.  Incoming freshman have the possibility of accumulating between $500 and $4,000 by participating in these competitions.  All high school students are eligible to participate.  For more information contact
