Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed a new trustee to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Board of Trustees. Kasich named Robin Kilbride of Wadsworth, Ohio, to a nine-year term as a trustee. Kilbride’s appointment began April 18, 2016, and ends May 16, 2024.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Director of Athletics Joel Nielsen has announced the hiring of Todd Starkey as the Golden Flashes' head women's basketball coach. Starkey takes over as the sixth head coach in the history of Â鶹ÊÓƵ's women's basketball after spending the last two seasons as an assistant at Indiana University.

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, Â鶹ÊÓƵ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
