Anti-Racism Efforts
At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, our core values of respect and kindness for all demand that we step up to become part of the conversation that leads to a solution that will dismantle the systemic racism that has plagued our communities throughout history, and our university all too recently.

Climate Study
Â鶹ÊÓƵ seeks to create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive campus environment that respects individual abilities, differences, needs and potentials. The climate study offered students, faculty and staff the opportunity to describe their personal experiences, and observations and to offer suggestions for change to help enhance the campus climate.
DEI Strategic Plan
Building on the university’s legacy of advocacy, including the 2016 Climate Study and Great Place Initiative, Â鶹ÊÓƵ will participate in a university-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan. This planning process will move the university community forward in our efforts to create a more equitable, just and inclusive university, where all feel a sense of belonging.

Dialogue and Difference: A New Understanding is an ongoing initiative that will engage our Â鶹ÊÓƵ community and advance our core values of freedom of expression, respect, and kindness in all that we do.
Employee Accommodation Request
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2008, Â鶹ÊÓƵ provides reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities who require them to effectively perform the essential function of their position, or to participate in or benefit from the employment process.
Flashes of DEI Podcast
Flashes of DEI aims to provide information and understanding of different topics and ideas related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). This short, monthly podcast features the DEI staff discussing various subjects with other Â鶹ÊÓƵ community members.
Gender Neutral & Transgender Resources
The LGBTQ+ Center has a number of resources that are available to help all students. There are specific resources that can be helpful to individuals who identify as Transgender, gender neutral or outside the gender binary in any way.
Reimagining the Academy Conference
Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Miami University have joined forces to form a collaborative conference: Reimagining the Academy: Building Communities for Access and Transformational Change. This new alliance will allow the universities to come together for one conference that will share expertise and leverage their strengths.

University Diversity Action Council (UDAC)
The role and mission of the University Diversity Action Council (UDAC) is to serve as a leadership council for university-wide diversity-related matters and to serve as an advocate to institutionalize the values of diversity, equity and inclusion at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
