Â鶹ÊÓƵ Celebrates 2015 Homecoming With Parade, Events and Football Game Win

This year's Homecoming was a fun-filled  that included the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Homecoming Parade and . This year’s homecoming featured Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumnus and Super Bowl champion as the Parade Grand Marshal.

Family and friends gathered before the football game at the new Tailgate Party at Dix Stadium. A great event for any Golden Flash, the gathering featured a food truck, face painting area, games and a chance to win prizes.

Other highlights of the day included open houses at the May 4 Visitors Center; new Center for the Visual Arts; the Student Recreation and Wellness Center; College of Education, Health and Human Services; College of Nursing; and tours of downtown aboard Lolly the Trolley, a Flash Photo Zone and a faculty lecture on the “Flapper Fashions of the 1920s.â€

Â鶹ÊÓƵ continues to be recognized for its excellence in online education, earning high marks in U.S. News & World Report’s newly released 2025 Best Online Programs rankings. U.S. News recognizes Â鶹ÊÓƵ in the Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs, Best Online Master’s in Education Programs, Best Online Master’s in Business Programs and Best Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs lists. 

This year, Â鶹ÊÓƵ will hold the 55th commemoration honoring the memory of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on Â鶹ÊÓƵ students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine others and sparking a turning point in American history. Kicking off the program for the annual May 4 Commemoration is a play that focuses on student activism and book bans.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Board of Trustees endorsed the 2024 University Remediation Report at its Dec. 12 meeting. The report provides a comprehensive overview of student remediation at the university.
