Universidad Católica del Uruguay, Uruguay - ISEP
(UCU) is located in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. Known for its vibrant art, music and theater scene, Montevideo is a diverse, eclectic port town home to nearly half of Uruguay's population. The city offers a mild climate, clean air and wonderful beaches, all easily accessible to students. The university is a 15 minute ride from the downtown area. UCU offers courses taught entirely in Spanish in subjects such as business, arts, communications, social sciences, health sciences, psychology and engineering. UCU also offers a few select courses especially for international students including service learning, Uruguayan literature, Uruguayan culture, and Uruguayan history. One Spanish as a second language course is also included in ISEP benefits. Students may also choose to enroll in the pre-semester intensive Spanish language course. Students also have access to a wide variety of extracurricular activities. UCU has a "buddy system" to help connect ISEP students with local students and adjust to life in Montevideo!
