(TIU) is located in Ikebukuro, a neighborhood of Tokyo located in the heart of the city. Opportunities to explore Japan’s natural and small-town beauty are easily accessible by bullet train, including natural parklands, scenic lakes, hot springs, and theme parks. TIU offers both a Japanese Studies Program and an English Track program. ISEP students in either program can join TIU clubs and activities with local Japanese students.
The Japan Studies Program (JSP) is designed for students to complete their semester with a higher level of Japanese complemented by a deeper understanding of the social life and culture of Japan. JSP students get the immersive cultural experience of living with a host family as well as participating in excursions.
TIU’s E-Track (English Track) program is an exciting opportunity to study business economics, international relations, or digital business and innovation. Students can combine some of these classes with Japanese language classes to experience both the modern and traditional sides of Japan.
