The Master of Science degree in Emerging Media and Technology (EMAT) meets you where you are and gives you tools and experiences to engage in projects and teams that include technologists, designers, programmers, scientists, and managers. The Master of Science in Emerging Media and Technology is an interdisciplinary program focused on social data analytics, human-computer interaction research and creative technologies. Students will receive training that allows them to organize and analyze data — and then use that data to make decisions and communicate on emerging media platforms.
The program’s STEM foundation includes training in skills like creative coding, web application development, data organization and analysis, emerging media storytelling, digital strategy, project management, and training and development technologies. Students will also gain theoretical understanding and mastery in analytical decision-making skills required to lead in the field of emerging media and technology.
Core coursework is combined with a customized specialization, based on each student’s individual goals. The program can be completed in as little as 12 months. Part-time students are encouraged to complete the program within 24-36 months.
