Tuscarawas Campus Commencement 

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tuscarawas will celebrate its Summer and Fall 2024 Graduates on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Performing Arts Center. 

The Ceremony will start at 7:00 p.m.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Tuscarawas Commencement information will be sent to your KSU email account and mailed to your home address. Please email Kim Sweitzer at kwatt@kent.edu with questions.

  • Students must RSVP in advance (Wed., Sep. 25 through Mon., Oct. 28, 2024) to attend the Tuscarawas Campus ceremony. 
  • Tickets for guests are required for admittance. After the student RSVP window has closed, guest tickets will be linked to your Flashline account allowing you to log in and claim your tickets. 
  • Theater doors open 30 minutes prior to ceremony.
 

Cap, Gown & Tassel

Students can purchase their cap, gown, and tassel from the Stark Campus or Kent Campus Bookstores. Both have stock available to purchase. Â鶹ÊÓƵ graduates wear a black cap and gown. Your tassel color is determined by the university college that offers your degree. Please direct questions to the Stark Campus Bookstore at 330-244-5112 or email SM8153@BNcollege.com. You are not required to purchase your cap and gown through the university.

Stark Campus Bookstore Hours:

  • 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. / Monday and Tuesday
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Wednesday and Thursday
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. / Friday

Students can also order directly online from .

  • The deadline to order directly from is Tues., Nov. 5, 2024. (After that date, students can still place orders, however, it’s not guaranteed that you will receive materials on time for Commencement.)
  • There is a shipping fee for regular ground shipping of approximately $20.
  • Orders cannot be sent to a PO Box.

The Kent Campus Grad Fair will take place at the University Bookstore located at the Kent Campus Student Center. Stop in for a chance to win a raffle, purchase your cap and gown, and enjoy light refreshments. GradImages will be there to take headshots and cap and gown photos. will be available to assist with purchasing your announcements, class rings, and more!

  • Sat., Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Mon., Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
 

DIPLOMAS 

The Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center has partnered with Parchment Inc. to improve the diploma fulfillment process for graduates of Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Upon final degree approval, diplomas will be fulfilled by Parchment.

  • Your digital diploma will arrive approximately 4-5 weeks after commencement. Watch for an email notification.
    • Notification will be sent to your Â鶹ÊÓƵ email.
    • Follow the link to set up your Parchment Digital credentials account.
    • Share and Download your digital diploma as many times as you like.
  • Paper diplomas will be mailed separately to your permanent address on file 7-10 days after you receive your digital diploma. 

To verify a diploma or permanent address:

  4. Select My Personal Information located under Profile

Graduation FAQs 

Q. When/Where can I get commencement tickets? How many will I receive?

A. Commencement tickets, for your guests, will be available from the Performing Arts Center box office. 

Q. Do I have to complete loan exit counseling?

A. All students who received Stafford or direct loans must complete online exit loan counseling. Visit the financial aid office for further details.

Q. How will my name appear on my diploma?

A. Your name will appear exactly as it does on your university record. Login to and review your personal information and update if needed. Please be sure that your name is listed properly, as this is how it will be announced, listed in the commencement program, and will appear on your diploma.
