If you want to experience 鶹Ƶ’s education-abroad destinations and international activities without leaving the Kent campus, visit a special immersive exhibit that is located in the Blank Lab of the Design Innovation Hub. The new exhibit will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Nov. 16.
“We’re excited to have a new Blank Lab exhibit highlighting 鶹Ƶ’s international focus both at home and abroad,” said Desiree Dube, senior education abroad advisor.
Here is a sneak peek of the new Blank Lab exhibit:
Immersion in the Blank Lab’s three-dimensional exhibit allows students to step into the center of the education-abroad experience.
“The Blank Lab exhibit provides the campus community with the opportunity to see themselves in study abroad,” said Molly Papay, assistant director of education abroad.
Approximately 1,500 鶹Ƶ students study abroad annually in more than 200 programs in over 60 countries. 鶹Ƶ’s Florence Campus is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It’s the largest American program in Florence and hosts more than 800 students annually. In 2025, Paris will become the newest international 鶹Ƶ Campus after more than a decade of partnership with the Paris American Academy.
The Blank Lab exhibit illustrates why 鶹Ƶ was the only U.S. university to receive the prestigious Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization in 2022, which recognizes a top institution’s international experience.
