In the southwest corner of South Dakota, on the Nebraska border and at the southern end of the Badlands, sits the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It is home to the Ogalala Lakota Nation.

This fall, faculty and students from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Salem traveled to the reservation in what has become an almost annual excursion. The COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to the trips over the last three years, which made this return visit quite significant for members of the group.

Following an initial two-year period, Molded Fiber Glass (MFG) Chairman Richard Morrison recently returned to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ at Ashtabula Campus to announce a two-year renewal of the MFG Foundation Ashtabula County Scholarship program.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s cultural offerings have a reach far beyond the borders of Ohio. There’s always something new to experience at the many events held at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, at off-campus locations year-round ​or virtually. The redesigned Arts & Cultural Experiences page provides an educational and entertaining window into the world of Â鶹ÊÓƵ.  

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Â鶹ÊÓƵ has opened a new exhibition, the Biennial Faculty Show.

A Â鶹ÊÓƵ program is helping business owners retire by providing them succession plans to ease the transition in their companies.

Thanks to a $75,000 grant from Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grants Program, Â鶹ÊÓƵ at Geauga is designing a pilot training program for workers from small businesses in underserved rural communities to help ensure safe and healthy workplaces. As part of the campus’ ongoing commitment to leadership in regional workforce development, the program will be implemented in Geauga County starting in the second quarter of 2023. 

Â鶹ÊÓƵ at Stark’s Featured Speakers Series and the Stark Library’s Speaking of Books Author Series are partnering to present iconic Hollywood character actor Danny Trejo, who will speak at the Canton Palace Theatre on March 9.
