The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recognized several students enrolled in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering this past Sunday, April 28 at the annual Judith K. Devine Athletic Academic Honor’s Dinner. Students were rewarded for their scholastic achievement as well as their leadership skills.
The College of Aeronautics and Engineering is thrilled to share that Dr. Hossein Mirinejad has been awarded the Healthy Communities Research Institute (HCRI) Faculty Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Aircraft Dispatch program. During the past decade, this FAA-certified program has graduated nearly 200 students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to pursue rewarding careers as aircraft dispatchers.
Professor Trent True from the College of Aeronautics and Engineering was recently honored by senior student-athlete Calvin Bickerstaff as the professor who made the biggest impact on his academic success at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Bickerstaff, a pitcher for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Baseball team, selected True as his "Most Valuable Professor."
Safran Electrical & Power became an Official Corporate Partner of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the 2023 fall semester. Safran was a presenting sponsor of KSU’s Advanced Air Mobility Workshop. Safran also participated in KSU’s spring 2024 Career Fair.
Hossein Mirinejad, Ph.D., assistant professor in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Â鶹ÊÓƵ was recently awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER award for his innovative research, “CAREER: Towards Safe and Interpretable Autonomy in Healthcare.â€
