I am excited to share that I recently had the opportunity to participate in the program! This program introduced me to the world of semiconductor manufacturing, where I learned about the fabrication process
"The Pathways to Semiconductor Careers micro-credential course at Â鶹ÊÓƵ was a valuable, eye-opening experience for my sophomore, junior and senior Electronics, Robotics, and Programming CTE students who come from 6 different school districts. It complemented the Ohio Department of Education standards I teach, while introducing students to semiconductor industry history, manufacturing techniques, cleanroom best practices, and exciting career pathways. Students especially enjoyed the hands-on cleanroom experience, where they got to mask, etch, and take home their own etched si
In June I participate in the summer program. We saw the process involved to manufacture a semiconductor. We also were able to work at a real clean room where we developed some of the process learned in class, such as photolithography, dry plasma etching and atomic layer deposition. Besides that
"My time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ opened the door to an incredible opportunity. When I shared my experiences with my academic advisor, he encouraged me to apply for a position in his Quantum Information Technology Lab, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m now at CU Denver, pursuing my master’s in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Microelectronics. In the lab, I specialize in nanoSQUID fabrication and characterization. The knowledge I gained at the Pathways to a Semiconductor Career Summer Program is directly applicable to my work, and while I’m still using what I learned in semiconductors, I’m now expl
"Participating in the semiconductor course was truly a transformative experience. I had the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of semiconductor manufacturing, transitioning from theory in the classroom to practice in a cleanroom. The immersion was intense and enriching, allowing me to learn about wafer cleaning, photolithography, etching, and ALD. The meetings with industry professionals were especially valuable. Their experiences and knowledge about water treatment and effluents in the facilities provided me with a comprehensive view of sustainable practices in the industry. Ad
It was an amazing opportunity to be a part of Intel Summer Program, as one of the instructors, along with Dr., Dr.Dena Agra Kooijman, to teach and train the young minds who were enthusiastic to learn about the semiconductor manufacturing technology and clean room based semiconductor fabrication. I appreci
I had the pleasure of taking the inaugural Introduction to Semiconductors course led by Flavia.P.N. Inbanathan. The addition of this new curriculum highlights the innovative capacity of our region to meet the needs of the evolving semiconductor industry. Northeast Ohio is open for business and primed for future semiconductor investment!
