Assessing program learning outcome plans:

The Advisory Committee for Academic Assessment (ACAA) developed an assessment report rubric to support Â鶹ÊÓƵ programs in enhancing their assessment plans. This rubric focuses on key elements such as outcome structure, measurements and actions, as reported. The primary goal is to offer constructive feedback on assessment processes rather than evaluating whether results met target achievements.

Programs are encouraged to to download the rubric for self-evaluation or reach out to AAL Assessment for further program assessment needs.

Assessing program learning outcome plans with an equity lens:

An equity-focused assessment rubric, developed by graduate students in the course Equity, Justice, and United States Higher Education, expands on the ACAA assessment report rubric to evaluate program assessment plans. This tool emphasizes equitable learning outcomes, measurement methods, and action planning to ensure assessment practices reflect diversity and promote justice in education.

Programs can download the rubric and view the accompanying infographic below, which outlines key equitable assessment practices. For additional support, contact AAL Assessment.
