Professional Studies

The Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.S.) program provides a flexible, individualized, comprehensive undergraduate program that reflects students' goals and/or interests. The program's mission is to provide a unique undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of individuals who wish to function in an education, health, and human services setting, such as business and industry, non-licensure education settings, religious, community or interest, and advocacy groups.

The program is designed for students with a significant amount of credit hours who want to achieve their academic goals through an individualized degree completion plan. Students choose an elective concentration that is supportive of their particular career emphasis and goal, selected from offerings in the College of Education, Health and Human Services, and other academic areas within the university that are discussed during personalized advising sessions. Students may also pursue certificates and/or minors in areas, such as non-profit management, human development and family studies, and psychology or sociology.
