The purchase of one background check (FBI, BCI, or combined FBI/BCI) yields one physical copy (can be sent to any domestic address) and one electronic copy (limited options, not an email address).

Bring:

*The IRC is not responsible for knowing the appropriate codes for your background check. A list of codes is available for patrons to browse, though it is recommended that patrons confirm their codes with their supervisor, employer, etc. The IRC nor its employees are responsible for the use of incorrect codes.

The BCI&I will usually complete an Ohio and federal criminal background check within 48 hours; however, it could take up to 4-6 weeks before you or the address you requested receive your results in the mail. This is your only official copy of your results. The IRC does not have access to your results and therefore cannot provide you with another copy. You can obtain additional official copies for a fee from BCI&I by calling 877-224-0043.

Ink Fingerprinting

The IRC does not provide ink fingerprinting.

For Additional Information:

*Please note that in order to be fingerprinted, you need to bring a current government-issued photo ID, credit/debit card or cash, and the address where you need the results sent. You also must know your social security number at the time of fingerprinting. The IRC does not know where your results should go, so please know the appropriate recipient address. This is your responsibility and we are not liable if you have the results sent to the wrong location.
