Senior Guest Program

FAA Workforce Development
A series of 3-day train-the-trainer workshops will be provided to high school teachers from Northeast Ohio and the surrounding region as part of the workforce development program for high school students. The high school teachers will be trained in a curriculum that will be a meaningful experience in preparing students to become aircraft pilots and/or unmanned aircraft systems operators. As part of their training, the teachers will be given the opportunity to earn a Part 107 Remote Pilot Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Certificate through in class and online training. All workshops will be held at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus and airport.

Digital Knit Design
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn digital knitting and programming of the Stoll industrial knitting machines. They will gain a foundational understanding of stitches and how to program them on Create Plus software. Using industrial knitting machines, participants will master fundamentals like required threading set up and machine maintenance.

Registered Sanitarian/Registered Environmental Health Specialist Exam Preparation Course
This course is designed to assist those who will be taking the National Environmental Health Association Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian Credential Exam, in their studies and review of pertinent material for the exam. It has narrated review lectures, resources, and practice exam questions available as part of the course. The course includes hundreds of practice exam questions that cover all of the exam content areas.

Public Health Accreditation Board Basics
The course covers the steps that state, local and tribal health departments are required to take to prepared for and meet the PHAB accreditation standards. It is intended for PHAB coordinators and other health department staff involved in the accreditation process. In addition to explaining the prerequisites and accreditation requirements the course provides access to other PHAB resources.

FANUC Robot Training: HandlingTool Operation and Programming
This course covers the tasks that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to understand to set up, record, and/or troubleshoot programs on a FANUC Robotics HandlingTool Software Package. You will learn to: power up and job the robot; Teach Frames; recover from common program and robot faults; execute production operations; create, modify, and executive a material handling program; create and execute MACROs; monitor, force, and simulate input and output signals; backup and restore individual programs and files.

UAV Training and Part 107 Testing
Receive hands-on training mixed with part 107 test prep to take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) test with confidence. A seminar geared toward professionals interested in using UAVs within their industry. Participants train at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s airport, among peers in a four-day course. Attendees receive instruction to prepare prior to attending the class to ensure success on the written exam. On day four of the course, you will take the written exam.

User Training for Cleanroom Research and Prototyping Facility
A fully online training program that is required for access to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Cleanroom Research and Prototyping facility.
Located in the LCM building, the Cleanroom facility includes tools for device fabrication (such as liquid crystal displays) with a range of equipment including spin reactive ion etch, metal evaporation systems (DC and RF sputter, e-beam, thermal), wet chemical stations, photolithography, and surface analysis tools. Registrants will have access to the online course for two weeks.

Art Enrichment
By combining art studio activities with discussions of art as it relates to different time periods and cultures, students come to better understand the world of art. Students are organized by cross-age groupings and work with a variety of media to develop their individual art skills. Art Enrichment is a student teacher education program at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
