The School of Biomedical Sciences at Â鶹ÊÓƵ is a unique multi-institutional graduate program that provides the highest level of research and professional training in four biomedically-focused areas: Human Evolutionary Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, and Pharmacology.
During a student's first year, they complete curriculum requirements to gain in-depth foundation knowledge in biomedical sciences and professional skills while completing laboratory rotations to choose a research lab that is right for them. Students have the opportunity to pick a research advisor at one of three major research institutions in northeast Ohio, including Â鶹ÊÓƵ, and the . By working together, we are able to train graduate students in a variety of disciplines for several career options.
The school's uniqueness in the State of Ohio is a compelling reason to apply, as are its outcomes. About 95% of students who enter the program graduate with a Ph.D. Program graduates are employed in academic, industry, and other research-related positions related to their field of training.
