Are you interested in learning more about a career in viticulture (grape growing) and enology (winemaking) in Ohio? Â鶹ÊÓƵ Ashtabula offers classes, professional certificates and degree programs in viticulture and enology that prepare students for skilled careers in Ohio’s growing grape and wine industry!

As a member of the Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA), a National Science Foundation National Center of Excellence, Â鶹ÊÓƵ provides students with a 21st century education in grape growing and winemaking science and technology. Courses are offered both online and in the traditional campus classroom. The program is designed to be convenient for both traditional and non-traditional students to earn a degree or take just a few classes for personal or professional development. An essential element of the program provides students with hands-on training through practicums and internships at local commercial wineries and vineyards that are located near a student’s home.

As one of the few viticulture and enology schools in the nation, a Â鶹ÊÓƵ wine degree from our Ashtabula campus is designed to prepare students for the wine making industry
