All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ group's trip to Rwanda.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from Â鶹ÊÓƵ are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Board of Trustees approved Â鶹ÊÓƵ opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s recruitment throughout Africa.
