Leadership Portage County tours the DI Hub

Local community leaders from Leadership Portage County got to see some of the creation and innovation that's happening every day at Â鶹ÊÓƵ when they toured the DI Hub earlier this semester.  The tour was led by Sarah McMahon, outreach program officer for Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Design Innovation Initiative.

Leadership Portage County is dedicated to identifying and developing leaders in Portage County. The organization's goal is to enhance the county's economic, business, governmental, educational, cultural, social, and civic development.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ's DI Hub and its Reactor Shops and Labs contain collaborative workspaces, maker environments, classrooms, and event venues. The facility is a focal point of innovation and collaboration on campus, designed  that enable the building to operate as an open-access collaborative maker and innovation accelerator. Its goal is to activate and inspire a community of inquisitive collaborators to facilitate cross-disciplinary communication and problem-solving
