The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience demonstrates Â鶹ÊÓƵ's "R1" classification by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

Ohio’s opioid epidemic is one of the worst in the country. One Â鶹ÊÓƵ professor and his team are aiming to change that. Deric Kenne in the College of Public Health received a five-year, $2.6 million federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to expand and enhance services for opioid use disorder treatment in Summit County, Ohio. A significant portion of the funding will go to CHC Addiction Services to enhance and expand medication-assisted treatment programming.

Amazon’s Alexa, iPhone’s Siri, the Roomba and many more innovations are examples of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is changing the world and simplifying life for everyone, resulting in a growing demand for AI professionals. Â鶹ÊÓƵ will start admitting students in the master's in Artificial Intelligence program starting fall 2021. The program will be offered within the Department of Computer Science.
