Olivia Riley, MPH, Hamilton County Health Department

Olivia is currently the Injury Prevention Coordinator in the Harm Reduction Program at Hamilton County Public Health. HCPH oversees the Prescription Drug Overdose grant funded by the Ohio Department of Health. Its purpose is to reduce opioid overdose fatalities. As the Injury Prevention Coordinator of the Prescription Drug Overdose Grant, she is responsible for implementation, evaluation, and reporting. Some of these objectives include, implementing prescription drug overdose education to children in schools, educating dentists about the Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System (OARRS), monitoring data received from hospitals about overdoses, expanding Naloxone distribution in the community, and implementing drug drop box programs in the community.

Another significant part of her job is to conduct the Overdose Fatality Review. Health Commissioner Ingram states, “Olivia is a great addition to the Hamilton County Public Health team and her work is very important in meeting our mission and the Board of Health’s strategic plan initiative of mitigating Opiate substance use disorders”.
