CONGRATULATIONS, LISA!

It is our pleasure to announce that , Ph.D. candidate in Political Science, has accepted a tenure-track position at South Dakota State University as an Assistant Professor of Political Science in the . Lisa will be completing her dissertation, “The Legal, Institutional, and Political Factors of Congressional Court-Curbing: The Purpose and Seriousness of Attempts to Constrain the United States Supreme Court,” prior to joining South Dakota State next fall.

This accomplishment follows on the heels of another prestigious recognition. Last year, Lisa was awarded an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellowship. She is currently in Washington, D.C., serving as a fellow in the office of . Her portfolio includes education, agriculture, government operations, campaign finance reform, and Native American policy. She also covers the Science, Space, & Technology Committee and the STEM Education Caucus.

Professor Chris Banks will show a video to introduce the Constitutional Law in the UK study-away course and its itinerary, and to answer questions about it.
