Â鶹ÊÓƵ recently received a $150,000 award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Development to implement the EmpowerVetEd grant program to support eligible, military-connected individuals and their spouses pursuing teacher education programs across all campuses at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Funds are designated for scholarships to recruit, enroll, and retain eligible military individuals in educator preparation programs. Eligible individuals include active duty and reserve service members, veterans, members of the National Guard, and their spouses who are enrolled in and completing an approved educator preparation program. Funds may cover tuition and course fees, childcare, transportation, and additional educational costs associated with teacher education programs.
