Minor in Education

The Minor in Education is intended to allow students pursuing a traditional liberal arts degree to prepare for public school teaching. It is available only to students in those areas where the state of Ohio issues teaching licenses. The minor provides the professional coursework necessary for licensure.

Eligibility and Admission

The foreign language education minor is open to students pursuing a B.A. degree in American Sign Language, French, German, Classics (Latin concentration), or Spanish. It should be noted that in many instances the combination of requirements for the education minor and for the field of concentration in the B.A. degree program may total more than the 121 semester hours required for graduation. In such cases, students should expect to complete more than 121 hours.
