Positives of Remote Classes

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives drastically. We went from in-person classes to fully remote and had to change our lives. Even though this semester has been a tough one there have been some positive outcomes. One thing that’s really saving me this year is saving up my money on gas. I live about 35 min from the campus and when having classes every day I would always have to fill up gas and this really helped me on saving it up. Interactions with my professors have been very similar if I were In-person with them.

I’m like a social butterfly and always loved communicating with my professors after classes and I can even do that remotely. Remotely I am still able to catch up with my professors. Doing schoolwork from home has also made me become more independent and confident in my work. I’ve never done online classes until this year and I always believed that I wouldn’t be able to do them because even though we had computers at school, and we knew how to use them I just didn’t think I’d be prepared to be fully online on my own.  I have created a method for myself where I was able to boost my confidence and become more organized with my schoolwork. With it being the second semester of spring 2021, I feel like I’m on a roll with my schoolwork and can’t wait to continue my journey.

Even though we are remote for now, we will all be in person again soon. I'm most excited to see everyone on campus and be able to participate in fun activities the campus will have to offer such as homecoming, cookouts and so much more. With clubs being back in person as well I will be able to write more for the blog and also the media club about our campus and the amazing staff and students.
