The 2018 Faculty/Staff Health and Resource Fair is planned for Oct. 8-11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the DeWeese Health Center. As part of the week-long event, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Women’s Center is offering digital mammograms to qualified employees, spouses and students.
The Women’s Diagnostic Center will be using upgraded digital technology for the mammogram screenings, which will be conducted in DeWeese Health Center, Room 135, on the Kent Campus Oct. 8-11. Each participant’s health insurance will be billed or participants may self-pay. A complete screening will take only 15 minutes.

The American Cancer Society recommends that women receive an annual mammogram beginning at age 40. On average, mammography will detect about 80-90 percent of breast cancers in women without symptoms. The overall lifetime risk of breast cancer is 1 in 8.
