Teaching literature and writing courses. Currently working on a special assignment with the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, as well as serving as a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Teaching and Learning and on the Faculty Senate Executive Committee.

The chance to interact with students on a regular basis and help them recognize how the humanities, and specifically English literature, connect with their own lives and concerns. The enthusiasm that students show on a regular basis is inspiring.

ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN EMPLOYER:

I appreciate the diverse, flexible environment at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, and the strong support that they offer to faculty. I especially like working at a university where a large number of the students are the first in their families to pursue a college degree.
