AID Training, also known as Awareness, Interaction, and Direction training, provided by the Division of Mental Health and Substance Use was featured in Kent Wired. AID is offered as part of the More Aware Initiative, and is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of the training is to teach trainees how to recognize and be aware of signs that someone is in mental distress, how to interact with them, and how to direct them to appropriate resources.
