Erin Hollenbaugh's primary teaching and research interests lie in the intersections between interpersonal and mediated communication.
After earning her Ph.D. at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, she began her current position as an assistant professor of communication studies, promoted to associate professor in fall 2013. She teaches four classes a semester, including courses such as Advanced Interpersonal Communication; Nonverbal Communication; Relational Communication; Gender and Communication; Language, Meaning, and Cognition; Foundations of Communication; and Senior Seminar. She hopes to expand her research and teaching to further explore uses of media for interpersonal means.
