By making several peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Honor Club students on the ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ Salem helped answer a call for help from a local service organization.
Kris Harrington, an associate lecturer of English, serves as the coordinator of the honors program and the honors committee chair at ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ Salem. She explained that one of the honors students, Jennifer Tedrow, saw a social media post from Clothed in Righteousness asking for donations of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
βThe students thought this project would be a good fit for the Honors Club because they enjoy working together on community services activities and it gives them a chance to connect with each other during their busy semesters,β Harrington said.
Clothed in Righteousness is a homeless outreach ministry in Alliance that keeps a blessing box on its doorstep for individuals who need food after the agency is closed.
