We invite high school students and their families to visit the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for Explore Kent Chemistry Day on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. High school juniors and seniors come from all over Ohio and neighboring states for Explore Kent Chemistry Day!
At Explore Kent Chemistry Day, our chemistry and biochemistry Faculty will discuss our curriculum, career prospects with our degrees and research opportunities available to undergraduates. Current Â鶹ÊÓƵ chemistry and biochemistry majors will provide insight into Â鶹ÊÓƵ college life. We will participate in science demonstrations and take a tour of our state-of-the-art instructional and research laboratories. The visit will conclude with a question-and-answer gathering where attendees will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with faculty and students about anything Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Chemistry!
This event is programmed to let students decide what they want to learn more about. We proudly offer BS in Chemistry and a BS in Biochemistry, with Biochemistry concentrations in pre-medicine, pre-osteopathy, pre-dentistry, and pre-pharmacy. This is an opportunity to hear from NEOMED College of Medicine, NEOMED Pharmacy Program, NEOMED Dentistry, and College of Podiatric Medicine. Parents and guardians welcome. Please contact Olivia in the Undergraduate Office 330-672-2405 to request accessibility accommodation. We are dedicated to making chemistry accessible to all.
