The Department of Biological Sciences is excited to offer a study abroad opportunity to Costa Rica this year!


Tropical Field Biology and Conservation 

5 Credit Hours; BSCI 40376

This course is an adventure into the world of tropical ecology and conservation, designed to introduce students to many of the major issues in this field. Students will learn how to apply modern field-observation techniques to generate and test problem-solving hypotheses. In addition, participants will learn about the threats to the biological diversity of tropical ecosystems, resulting from human activities. Students will meet throughout the Spring semester to complete the writing component of the course.
