Andy Bako, Schidlowski Emerging Faculty Fellow

Andy Bako is a founding partner of BAK\LASH, a multidisciplinary design practice based in Toronto and Boston. With BAK\LASH, Andy has led the development of production of work for institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Toronto, the Aga Khan Foundation and the University of Toronto. Andy holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design with Distinction, and was the recipient of the Harvard GSD 2019 Digital Design Prize for his Master's Thesis project, "Normal House", which explored the relationships between image culture, suburbia, and the constraints of contemporary design software. Andy's work has been featured on Kooz/Arch, SuckerPUNCHdaily, and the Hot Air Gallery in New York, and has contributed to international exhibitions including the "Countryside: The Future" exhibition held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
