Field Biology and Conservation in South Africa

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Biological Sciences invites you to Wild Safari Night on April 5th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in Cunningham Hall 101. Come learn about the newest study abroad field course in South Africa. We will discuss the course details and the field experience in South Africa, including costs and itinerary. 

This course is an adventure into savanna ecology, and the phenomenal diversity of the Cape floral kingdom, designed to introduce students to many major issues in the field. Students will learn how to apply modern field- observation techniques to generate and test problem-solving hypotheses. Students will also learn about the threats to the biologicaldiversity of savanna, fynbos and succulent karoo ecosystems resulting from human activities.
