Â鶹ÊÓƵ Biological Anthropology Reunion – celebrating over 3 decades of success!

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Biological Anthropology faculty, graduate students, and alumni enjoyed getting together and catching up on Saturday, September 24th. In addition to celebrating 3 decades of Ph.D. recipients that have 100% job placement, we also celebrated the creation of The Department of Anthropology Endowed Fund for Graduate Student Research in Biological Anthropology. The donors for this fund are alumni and faculty of the biological anthropology program. All of this was made possible by one of the first graduates of the program, Bob Tague (Ph.D., 1986). Bob began this effort several years ago, working with Chair Meindl to identify, contact, cajole, and bring together the Ph.D. recipients of the program.

Bob Tague, Earleene Nolan Sanders Alumni Professor of Anthropology at Louisiana State University, holds a Clovis style fluted point manufactured by new faculty member Dr. Metin Eren for Bob in honor of the occasion and for Bob's instrumental work in organizing both the graduate support fund and the celebratory meeting. Thanks from all of us Bob!!!!!
