How has your time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ helped with current successes?
The political science and pre-law classes at Kent helped prepare me for law school and for my career. The research and writing required in the program gave me a great head start for law school classes. Additionally, the focus on international studies and my annual participation in the Lake Erie International Model United Nations gave me a worldly view that I don't think I could have received anywhere else. The classes I took with Dr. Dennis Hart were incredible and still affect me today. I have even kept most of my books from those classes!

What do you enjoy most about your career?
My core passion is serving the public as a prosecutor and serving the community through service. In my youth, I always wanted to become a prosecutor and provide justice for the public.  The life experiences and lessons learned from this work have given me strong compassion for people and a constant reminder of how blessed I am growing up with a strong foundation of God and family. I'm honored to be able to serve the public and currently help children be provided with the financial support to which they are entitled.

What advice do you have for current Â鶹ÊÓƵ students?
Experience as much as you can. Join clubs, attend football games, take an obscure class, branch out of your comfort zone. Now is the time to find what you enjoy, to make mistakes and to learn from it all. It will go by faster than you think.

Favorite Â鶹ÊÓƵ memory?
Homecoming was always a fabulous time!  Kent has the best traditions and I love going back to enjoy the friendships and energy. I still want to go back and paint the rock!

How do you stay connected to Â鶹ÊÓƵ today?
I actually married a fellow Â鶹ÊÓƵr (Ryan Krivosh, ’06). We enjoy hosting alumni events each year at one of our restaurants. I also am involved with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumni group for my sorority, Chi Omega.

Update: In April 2021, Kira was sworn in as a Magistrate for the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Please – Juvenile Division.
