Why is volunteering with KSUAA important to you? What motivates you to volunteer?
My graduate program at Â鶹ÊÓƵ was outstanding. It provided me with the tools to engage in a career that I loved every day. It was important to me to maintain my connection to Â鶹ÊÓƵ so I could give back in any way I could.
Why did you choose to attend Â鶹ÊÓƵ?
I attended graduate school at Â鶹ÊÓƵ because it offered the degree that was of interest to me. Â鶹ÊÓƵ was close to where I lived and worked.
What are your favorite memories at Â鶹ÊÓƵ?
Some of my favorite memories are getting to know other graduate students who were enrolled in the same program, traveling to Montreal with the KSU contingent for the international research conference, joining KSU faculty at a dinner with famed educational researchers and presenting at the national ASCD (formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) conference.
Why did you decide to volunteer after graduating?
Volunteering is part of who I am.
What is your favorite event you participated in as a volunteer?
Probably "Careers Over Coffee" because it provided an opportunity to listen and answer questions from young people who aspired to work in the same field.
What is your proudest accomplishment(s) as a volunteer?
Since its inception in 2009, I have been a regular participant in the annual "National Alumni Day of Service". This will be my tenth year!
